The coney shoestring fries are crispy and cheesy with a nice kick. The short dog kids meal was devoured to the last bite. Roakes has a small dining room inside with tables and chairs and another small dining room with stools along a ushaped bar. Outside, they have a large, covered eating area with picnic tables. ”

The double cheeseburger and BBQ Bacon burger were fantastic. The coney sauce was not what I expected, more like a Verde sauce than chili. It didnt seem to have meat. I didnt prefer it, but others might. ”

Roakes is a step back in time, if not several. The dining area is decorated in classic diner decor. They get an A from me on aesthetics alone, however you wont be disappointed in the food. The portions are large, the ingredients are fresh, and everything is made to order. Honestly, I cant say enough good things about this place. ”

The employees are always so friendly and the value is unbeatable. We were there yesterday. 2 burgers, 1 with cheese. A huge French fry. Large soda. And a 14 lb puppy patty. 20 bucks! And a tip of course We couldnt even finish everything. We spent more than that at JITB last time we were there and were hungry a hour later. Absolutely the best! ”
